Itinerary: 3 Day Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga

Day 1: Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Kasbah Aït Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

Begin your desert tour from Marrakech with a morning pick-up from your hotel. Drive through the High Atlas Mountains, stopping for panoramic views as you cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass.

Visit Kasbah Aït Benhaddou, a famous mud-brick fortress and UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s a popular film location featured in Gladiator and Game of Thrones.

In the afternoon, continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco.” Travel through palm groves in Skoura before reaching Dades Valley, where you’ll spend the night.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Erfoud –  Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, begin your journey to the Sahara Desert by traveling along the Road of 1000 Kasbahs. Stop at Todra Gorge, a deep limestone canyon with towering cliffs

Continue through Erfoud, a town known for fossils, and reach Merzouga – the gateway to the Sahara.

Join a sunset camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes. Enjoy dinner and live music in your Berber desert camp under the stars.

Day 3: Merzouga –  Draa Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Wake early for a sunrise view over the Sahara. Ride camels back to Merzouga village, then begin the return journey.

Continue your 3-day trip to Marrakech through Draa Valley, passing Berber villages. Your driver will schedule breaks along the way, including a lunch stop in Ouarzazate.

We’ll arrive in Marrakech in the evening and drop you off at your accommodation. This is where your unforgettable 3 day desert adventure comes to an end.
